From The Pastor 4.27
We enjoyed a beautiful Easter Sunday with so many blessings. My heart is full of gratitude and thanksgiving! We serve a Risen Savior! My heartfelt thanks to all of you who made this past Easter Sunday such a special day!
We are honored today to have Bro. Michael Drust with us. Bro. Mike is one of our supported missionaries and is doing a great work in Albania. He will share the progress of the ministry in Albania and also a message from God’s Word. One of the things he will share is a need to repair some water damage to one of the buildings the ministry uses in Albania. We will receive a love offering this morning to help with this damage. Please give as the Lord leads you in this request. May the Lord multiply the offering for His glory!
Following the worship service today, Deb and I will be preparing to travel to Texas for a meeting of the Baptist Sunday School Committee of the American Baptist Association. I will also be attending an officers meeting in preparation for the meeting of the American Baptist Association which will be held in June in Springfield, Illinois. We would appreciate your prayers for traveling mercy and for a good meetings. Our plan is to travel home on Friday, May 2.
This coming Thursday – May 1 - will be the first gathering of our new lifegroup on Bible Basics. This group will be led by Brother John Cobb here at the church at 7 pm. I know this time will be well spent and benefits will arise from Bible Study as well as a great time of fellowship.
I want to thank you for your prayers for my health and upcoming radiation treatments for Prostate Cancer. If all goes as planned I will begin radiation treatments on May 5. I am scheduled to have 28 treatments which hopefully conclude around Father’s Day. I am grateful for your prayers and for my medical care team. Our Lord is able!
Thank you for being here to worship the Lord with us this morning! We pray that God touches your heart through the power of His Holy Spirit. If you need a Savior, Jesus is waiting for you to open the door of your heart. He is knocking. Will you open the door? He wants to come in and be with you but you hold the key.
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart!
